About Medicare Advantage Plans
What is Medicare?
Medicare is a health insurance program provided by the federal government to seniors who are 65 or older, certain younger people with disabilities, and people with End-Stage Renal Disease. It has three parts—Part A, B, and C.
- Part A: It is hospital insurance that covers inpatient hospital stays, hospice care, care in a skilled nursing facility, and some home health care.
- Part B: This is medical insurance that covers certain doctor’s services, medical supplies, outpatient care, and preventive services.
- Part D: Part D is prescription drug coverage that helps cover the cost of prescription drugs, including some recommended shots or vaccines.
What is a Medicare Advantage Plan?
Medicare Advantage plans are private insurance plans that are in compliance with Medicare guidelines. They provide both Part A and Part B coverage, in addition to dental, vision, and hearing benefits.
What is covered in a Medicare Advantage Plan?
Certain Medicare Advantage plans also offer a $0 deductible, monthly/quarterly money towards over-the-counter health products, and even rides to and from medical appointments. These plans are available at no cost for those who are eligible. Sometimes they even provide cash to cover the Part B Premium.
How do I enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan?
You can enroll in Medicare Advantage plans by filling out our application form. We have a wide variety of insurance carriers for you to choose from.
What is the value of Medicare Advantage Plans?
In addition to providing Medicare Parts A and B, most Medicare Advantage plans also include Part D and additional health and wellness benefits. Some of these plans may offer lower monthly premiums and out-of-pocket maximums.
How do I receive my Medicare Advantage services?
The insurance carrier provides you with a card when you enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan. This card is essential for you to get your Medicare-covered services. But keep your red, white, and blue Medicare card safe because you might need it if you ever switch back to Original Medicare.
